Irish Eyes Are Smiling for Daniel O’Donnell’s first Strictly dance
While fans got a sneak peak at what the line-up had to offer when the celebs were paired with their professionals, this was the first time they performed routines on their own, and it was certainly a mixed bag.

Based on the launch show, Proms presenter Katie Derham looks leggily promising and is paired with Strictly stalwart Anton du Beke, who came closest to lifting the glitterball trophy with Lesley Garrett way back in series one, when they finished third.
“I was with his for rehearsal three weeks ago just at the start and he was doing a bit of waltzing”, he said.
Newsreader Jeremy Vine will dance the cha cha to the song September by Earth, Wind and Fire alongside partner Karen Clifton.
The popular singer will make his dance floor debut with a waltz to Ruby Murray’s When Irish Eyes Are Smiling alongside his partner Kristina Rihanoff. Many suspect he will be among the first to exit the competition. In general, the women are looking stronger, with Jamelia, Kirsty Gallacher and Helen George all impressing in the group dance.
Former athlete Iwan is set to tango to Keep On Running by Spencer Davis Group with his partner Ola.
The soap actress will be dancing a jive to Meghan Trainor’s Dear Future Husband, alongside newcomer Giovanni.
Finally Anita Rani and Gleb Savchenko danced the Cha Cha Cha to Rather Be by Clean Bandit.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on BBC One tomorrow at 6.15pm.
