Britain and Russian Federation led early qualifying at the world championships Sunday, posting the highest scores in their respective sessions to close in on a berth in Wednesday’s team finals and the automatic spot in the 2016 Olympics that comes along with it.

Azerbaijan’s squad at the championships includes Oleg Stepko, Petr Pakhnukh, Yulia Inshina, Mariya Smirnova and Marina Nekrasova. The reigning Olympic and five-time world champion tweaked his neck and shorted a tumbling run during his floor exercise.
But ten months shy of next year’s Olympics in South America, Wilson is clearly at the forefront of team selectors’ minds with the likelihood being that a long and illustrious worldwide gymnastics career is only just beginning.
The Brazilian men’s gymnastics team was understandably excited when they learned they qualified for the World Championships team final, and with it the Rio Olympics, on Monday.
The European Sports Championships are being funded by The Scottish Government and Glasgow City Council, with the EventScotland team within VisitScotland’s Events Directorate leading on preparations for the golf event on behalf of Scotland.
She might not have had the best start to her World Gymnastics Championships but Becky Downie insists she will be back and ready to shine for next week’s finals.
“Out there we want everyone to do really well and this team effort out there was brilliant and I couldn’t have asked for any more”.

Beating China in a major worldwide team competition is the thing that keeps him going, the lone hole in Uchimura’s peerless resume. She will be in the all-around finals, and we’ll have to wait and see on the team finals and beam finals.
“Personally, I don’t feel like a have loads of pressure on myself. So we need her to focus on what makes her successful, not the outcomes”.

“The team competition, that was my main goal, to help the team out as much as I could”, Black said.
