“Maiden thrive on touring and getting out to our fans”, the singer said when the Aussie dates were unveiled.
Details are still to come on an extensive European summer tour, starting in late May and continuing to early August.
After shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, Iron Maiden play Perth Arena on May 14. British heavy metal band Iron Maiden will take in China for the first time, prior to arriving in New Zealand and Australia for April and May 2016. The concluding show for Australia will be on May 14 at Perth, after which Iron Maiden will stage a twin concert in South Africa. Luckily, our wishes have come true – Bruce Dickinson and co. will indeed heading out on Ed Force One next May for a cracker of a national tour.
“We can not wait to get back out on tour”, he says in a statement.
“Of course we haven’t decided on the set list as yet and won’t until we start rehearsing but we really look forward to playing a number of new songs live, especially as the recording was so much live”, Dickinson reveals.
Iron Maiden’s “Book Of Souls” album is now Number One in the Official UK Album Chart, having been released on September 4. “All the things we loved about the mid 1980’s from albums such as Number of the Beast, Piece of Mind, Powerslave and Seventh Son, as well as the better material from post-2000’s Maiden are all present”.
