Iron Maiden releases “Speed of Light”

The cover art was created by Mark Wilkinson who has worked with the band previously, and because this 11 track album has a total running time of 92 minutes, it is IRON MAIDEN’s first ever double studio album.

Metal icons IRON MAIDEN are set to unleash their brand new album, The Book Of Souls, in just a few weeks.

The video for “Speed of Light” is completely dedicated to a video game theme. Maiden mascot Eddie the Head makes his way through different generational styles of video games from the classic 8-bit climb “n” dodge, to slick side scrollers and first-person shooters.

Speaking to BBC News about how his illness, and subsequent treatment, has affected his singing voice, he said: “I can sing, I can talk…” Even though they’ve yet to be included within the hallowed chambers of Cleveland’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, with more than 85 million records sold worldwide over a career that has spanned 35 years, the heavy metal act has unquestionably gone on to solidify themselves in the pantheon of rock gods. Iron Maiden’s sixteenth studio album The Book Of Souls will be released on the 4th of September 2015 through Parlophone Records. Those who pre-order The Book of Souls will receive a download of “Speed of Light” immediately.
