Iru Mugan 1st Week (8th-12th) Worldwide Box Office Collection

The interesting part about the weekend collections is Iru Mugan’s fourth-day collections were higher than the opening day collections at the Box Office.

For the first time in his career, Vikram has reportedly changed his approach and has signed a film to be directed by relative newcomer Socrates, whose previous film ‘Bramman’starring the likes of Sasikumar and Santhanam was widely panned by critics and was an absolute dud at the box office. Debutante filmmaker Anand Shankar has live up to the expectation along with state-of-the-art cinematography and superb sequence approach. To their surprise, “Iru Mugan” managed to retain good viewership, and earned Rs. 10.12 crore on its second day.

The film also stars Nayanthara and Nithya Menen in the lead, apart from a host of supporting actors. The movie has simultaneously released its Telugu and Tamil versions on the same day. As per early reports, Iru Mugan has collected Rs 3.80 crore over the four-day weekend at Kerala Box Office. Still, the love and affection for superstar Vikram seemed endless.

On Monday, it faced nearly 47% of drop than previous day and raked the business of 2.50 crores. Surprisingly, the Tamil and Telugu language film has done has surpassed appreciation in comparison to main steam Indian cinema like Bollywood. Produced under Thammens Films, Iru Mugan collection for the 1st week in India has generated revenue of Rs. 22.65 crores. So, Iru Mugan collection in overseas from Friday to Monday has settled down to Rs. 4.35 crores.
