The Movie opened up with the good occupancy in the first holiday and collected very good bucks for the makers by the end of the first week.
The scientific thriller directed by 29-yr-old filmmaker Anand Shankar got thumbs up for its novel idea, but the film was lamented for boring second half and weak climax.
The film is performing the best in Tamil Nadu, Andhra and Telangana. Mixed WOM and Malayalam releases affected badly! In Karnataka, due to the raging Cauvery issue, the film had a truncated release, mostly in the Mangalore area and missed out on the core Bengaluru and Kolar areas, which bring in about 90 percent of a Tamil film’s total collections in the state. The 10-day collection of the film stands at Rs. 68.21 lakh.
The film has music by Harris Jayaraj, who is collaborating with Vikram for the sixth time.
The film, which cost Rs 40 crore to make, will turn profitable from its worldwide theatrical rights in two weeks’ time. The producer is yet to sell the satellite television rights of the film, which will add to his profits.
