Is A Game Of Thrones Star Playing Iron Fist?
Marvels Netflix properties have become a microcosm of the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe.

No timetable has been announced yet for Iron Fist, though it will be the last of the four solo Marvel Netflix series that began with Daredevil and continued with Jessica Jones.
In the comics, Iron Fist is Daniel Rand, who at age of 9 travels with his family from NY a lost mystical city called K’un-L’un. Actor Finn Jones will portray the character. Jones has made a name for himself as Ser Loras Tyrell on the hit HBO show, but has not really done much mainstream acting outside of the fantasy series.
It’s official, EW has confirmed that Game of Thrones Star Finn Jones has been cast as Danny Rand aka Iron Fist for the upcoming Netflix and Marvel show Iron Fist. Interestingly, Danny also partners with Luke Cage for a time, and the two create the organisation Heroes for Hire. This is an unconfirmed rumor right now, but The Hashtag Show has built up a decent track record of Marvel accuracy.
Overall this casting makes sense.
As we previously reported, Scott Buck will serve as showrunner on the series.
Some fans have urged Marvel to cast an Asian actor in the lead role, though others countered that picking an Asian actor only because the hero’s ability is martial arts would be a stereotypical move.

The line-up for Marvel and Netflix’s Defenders is now complete, at least casting-wise.
