Is ‘hot’ 4th grade teacher causing a distraction in the classroom?
Uploading pictures to her Instagram, the teacher soon began to garner attention as judgemental people everywhere took issue with the garments she was wearing to work.

Patrice Monroe, an elementary school teacher in Atlanta, is going viral today because she’s a good looking woman and some parents/internet trolls are growing concerned over the way she dresses.
Because of all the attention, Brown has changed her Instagram account, where she goes by the name of Paris Monroe, from public to private.
Whilst others were more supportive, saying that the teacher should be allowed wear what she wants. But, the focus of conversation on the internet hasn’t been on her messages or teaching.
Some are criticizing her for the form fitting outfits calling them “inappropriate” for the classroom.
For instance, one bitter twitterer said, “Who wears a body con to teach CHILDREN??!??? Wtf?!” A third user acknowledged that Monroe looked great, but projected onto the students, commenting, “Little boys are pervs by like 2nd grade”. You guys are only focusing on the negative.

The Daily Dot’s Jaya Saxena wrote about the double standard saying, “women have been not only judged, but outright punished because of this double standard”. It lists examples of appropriate and inappropriate attire but leaves the determination of violations to the discretion of the administrators for each school. Another person posted the now-infamous photo on Monroe standing in her classroom in a pink bodycon dress spliced with a pic of a random skinny woman in a similarly skin-tight dress, commenting, “I bet y’all would have nothing to say if she was built like this”.
