Is Les Miles out at LSU, regardless of the final two games?

The reports come in alignment to previous reports, which have said that Miles is coaching for his job in the final two regular season games of the year for LSU. The offense is outdated and simplistic to gameplan against, the quarterback play is shoddy and the defense has missed coordinator John Chavis.

“We’re rolling”, Kelly said. “He does a great job preparing us, and we just have to execute”.

LSU defensive tackle Christian LaCouture said he was not familiar with stories over the past week about Miles’ questionable future as LSU’s coach.

After the game, Miles himself looked as if he knew his time was up by the way he talked about arriving at LSU 11 years ago, he sounded and looked like a beaten man. Following the halftime break, LSU kicker Trent Domingue split the uprights with a 43-yard field goal to make it 24-10.

The LSU Tigers travel to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium to face the Ole Miss Rebels Saturday afternoon.

Kelly completed 19 of 34 passes and had no turnovers.

Despite the offensive numbers, which included 108 yards rushing on 25 carries from tailback Leonard Fournette, LSU was in the game only briefly as it fell behind 24-0.

Ole Miss is 36 points shy of breaking the single-season scoring record of 442 points set in 2003.

In the first two quarters, LSU quarterback Brandon Harris was 9 of 15 for 151 yards and a touchdown pass to Tyron Johnson to put the Tigers on the board. The 26 completions and 51 attempts were also career highs.

LSU’s biggest problem early in the game was mistakes – the Tigers were penalized nine times in the first half, including four times on the opening drive. “We have to fight each and every day, get better at practice, win this last game, and get in a bowl game”. I’m disappointed because I have coaches and players that work very hard. “We’ve got two games left”.

Booker suffered the injury during last Saturday’s double-overtime loss to Arizona. Mississippi State (Dak Prescott) and Southern Miss (Nick Mullens) already have named their finalists, and Ole Miss has until Monday to do so as well.

Instead, the possible outcomes for the SEC West have been simplified. Alabama won 30-16. Arkansas won 31-14. Behind gunslinging QB Chad Kelly, who leads the conference in passing and total offense by wide margins, Ole Miss is among the most fearsome teams in the land when it has the ball.
