Katy Perry and Russell Brand divorced a few years ago, but all those old feelings are burbling up again with the British comedian’s new documentary, Brand: A Second Coming.
In the movie, Brand, 40, says his visit to Africa for Comic Relief in the spring of 2010 led him to question his relationship with Perry. That’s the very sea we’re swimming in: ‘Oh, who’s he?
He told his the actor: “It’s definitely good I’m with someone I love”. “This is my suspicion, that at a few point, to be happy, I’m going to have to walk away”.
“According to The Mirrorhe Mirror, the Perry-bashing continues in the full documentary, with Russell referring to Katy as “plastic” and “mindless” before lamenting his reputation: “‘Oh, who’s he? “It’s doing my head in.’ I was like, ‘Just let her watch the f***ing film.’ I knew at that point this ain’t gonna go much further”.
He said: “Russell calls me up once and says, ‘What happens when she wants to watch a film and I want to watch another film?”
Russell and Katy’s whirlwind romance famously came crashing down in the midst of her mammoth Teenage Dream tour when Russell sent her a fateful text message.

According to Grazia magazine, he jokes about her accent and “portrays her as a bimbo”, before pal Noel Gallagher tries to give him tips, claiming he knew they wouldn’t stay married for long.
