Every year, the good folks at NORAD in Colorado Springs present a Christmas miracle for 130,000 kids around the world. NORAD’s “Santa Cams” will stream videos on the website as Santa makes his way over various locations.
This will be Norad’s 60th year tracking Santa’s whereabouts as he delivers Christmas gifts to children.
Hundreds of volunteers will be answering calls from kids around the world wanting the latest info on Santa’s status.
As much of the world has gone mobile, so has NORAD Track Santa.
The website is available in eight languages: English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Chinese. But the number was incorrectly printed, directing calls instead to the Continental Air Defense Command Operations Center, according to information provided by the North American Aerospace Defense Command.
A 1955 newspaper advertisement for Sears Roebuck and Co. listed a phone number for “kiddies” to call Santa Claus but got it wrong. Not wanting to crush the spirits of children, then-colonel Harry Shoup told his colleagues to play along and provide callers with Santa’s exact location.
Responsible for the air defense of the eastern United States, EADS is composed of New York Air National Guardsmen from the 224th Air Defense Group, a Canadian Forces detachment, Army, Navy and Coast Guard liaison officers, and federal civilians. Santa Claus is coming to town and it’s easier than ever to find him.
“Google s Santa Tracker launches today – And it s time to follow the jolly man s sleigh”, the California-based Internet firm said in a blog post playfully penned in rhyme.

For those, who do not wish to use Google’s website, the company is offering its Android app with Chromecast support so that you can watch Santa on the big screen.
