“Ah there’s a planet in this movie called Takodana and I named after the first time I came to Tokyo we stayed in a hostel in Takadanobaba”.

With “Star Wars” films featureing epic journeys and battle scenes, director J.J. Abrams revealed the most disturbing among them. “How can anything live up to any expectation like that?”

That didn’t stop Abrams from giving notes to Williams about the way that the score was going to fit into the movie.

“What I can tell you this: It’s always annoying when you go to the movies, and you know the whole story”, the director said with a laugh. And, of course, he’s plotting the course for the rest of the Star Wars sequels by setting the tone with this film.

There will be no shortage of ways to experience “The Force Awakens”. Abrams geeks about a bit at being able to sit on the sidelines and watch.

The new movie reunites Hamill with his original castmates Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford. Newcomers Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Finn (John Boyega) lead a younger generation that grapples with the conflicts that haunted the past. We shouldn’t expect The Force Awakens to be either.

His comments were made on the same day as a new report revealed that only 6.4% of Hollywood films were directed by women in 2013 and 2014.

“It’s just what our narrative is”, Abrams said, “so if it’s driving anyone insane, apologies”.

The movie doesn’t open until next week, but in many ways The Force already has awakened. Ford said, looking straight into the camera with a slight smile on his face. “It’s always joyful and always uplifting even though bad things happen”. The Force Awakens actress has been keeping us motivated with her Instagram workout videos ever since she first joined the social media platform a few months back, showing off fresh moves in each and every post.
