Is the iPhone 7 the ultimate travel companion? Not quite

iPhone users have been spending the last few hours pounding Apple’s servers, begging the Cupertino, Calif. -based giant to take hundreds of dollars off them in exchange for a new smartphone, but what have Android users been up to?

Other retailers and operators have also kicked off pre-orders.

The company made a decision to stop the practice because the number of phones sold during the period has become more a reflection of Apple’s supply than demand, a company spokeswoman said, when asked whether Apple will be releasing the figure.

Apple is only offering the glossy black colour on the more expensive, higher capacity versions of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. The space is now replaced with a speaker, and the iPhone 7 features stereo sound from speakers at the top and bottom. But the overwhelming demand for the new black and jet black iPhones in particular is prompting Apple to push delivery dates as late as November for some models. Within minutes the black variants of the iPhone 7 Plus have sold out.

If you’ve been through the iPhone pre-order process before, you know that it has the potential to be tricky.

YouTube/Marques BrownleeApple introduced the iPhone 7 earlier this week, which comes in two black colors for the first time: matte black, and jet black. The Black iPhone 7 Plus is still at 2 to 3 weeks. “We are reiterating the financial guidance for the September quarter that we provided on July 26”. The cheapest model is the iPhone 7 with 32 gigs of storage, thankfully double the previous entry point for Apple. The larger 42mm model is listed as arriving in 2-3 weeks.

The iPhone 7 got a camera update on both the front and back.

Those interested in the adaptor will have to fork out $40 for the privilege of rocking out to their favorite tracks while their shiny new iPhone charges.

If you had your eye on the Plus model, things are a bit more complicated.

On the other hand, the standard iPhone 7 with a 4.7-inch display continues to feature 2 GB of RAM, just like the existing iPhone 6s lineup. Instead, on the iPhone 7, you’ll get a single, but still new, 12-megapixel sensor, as well as an improved lens and improved 7-megapixel front-facing camera.
