Is Your iPhone 7 ‘Hissing’? Mysterious Noise Heard From Some Handsets
The glitch apparently occurs after a person turns off Airplane Mode on the iPhone 7.

Some users of the new iPhone 7 Plus say the device makes a “hissing” sound when under stress. If there were, it would surprise the teardown people at iFixit, who certainly did not mention any snakes in their press release about the guts of the iPhone. Apple detailed numerous changes and that would impact its new cameras on stage when it first unveiled its new iPhones, but the quality of the new cameras didn’t really set in until we saw Austin Mann’s iPhone 7 camera review.
“As my iPhone 7 Plus was restoring from iCloud, I thought I noticed some sound”, Hackett said. “It seems to get worse if the iPhone is under load, and can be heard while the phone is sitting on a table”, wrote Hackett.
Since then others have come forward to report a similar issue, though it remains unclear whether it’s a widespread problem with the new device or just limited to a few units.
While the obvious candidate remains Apple’s A10 Fusion processor the question remains how? how can a fanless chip make a noise like it seemingly does have one?

Apple fans are going to have to wait if they want an iPhone 7 Plus as the new device is sold out globally, which has piqued Wall Street’s interest. Hackett said in the video that the noise appeared when the phone was updating and downloading from the cloud. While most owners have given a positive feedback for its reliability and top-class performance, many are reporting a problem with the flagship from Apple. Only problem is that since stocks of the new iPhones are so low, it could take some time for those experiencing the hissing noise to get a replacement. Yesterday we found out that the motionless home button in the new phones doesn’t work well with gloves.
