Isenberg Reacts: WWE Raw “Where Are The SummerSlam Matches?”

At WWE Battleground, the Undertaker made his climactic return to WWE television and interrupted the match between Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins. We got the close nearfalls & some Shakespearean drama towards the end with Rollins kicking out on close nearfalls. Although the actual nose-breaking may have been accidental, the WWE will capitalize on the action. Rollins says he has a problem that’s been plaguing him – sympathy. But tonight, he has other matters on his mind. The challenge must be less than 6 feet tall and less than 200 pounds. This time, Rollins rolls out of the way and Neville comes crashing down. If Triple H screws his protégé out of the title, that could spark a program between the two. Neville goes back to the top and hits a big corkscrew onto Rollins and the floor.

Per reports from the Wrestlezone, Cena underwent emergency surgery on his nose to correct breathing issues, although more surgeries that include possible nose reconstruction may be needed. Kofi Kingston pinned Sin Cara after Trouble in Paradise. The Prime Time Players were once again on commentary. Paige, Becky Lynch, and Charlotte are now known as the Submission Sorority.

After the match, Jojo interviews Team BAD. We will be providing live ongoing coverage of tonight’s RAW, while you all can chime in with your thoughts throughout the show. Then he gets down to business and tells Ryback to surrender the Intercontinental Championship.

Kevin Owens was a guest on Miz TV. They go to the mat with more quick back and forth. Owens is this pure heel whereas Cesaro is becoming this babyface on the rise. Cesaro responds that Owens disrespects himself, his opponent, the fans, and the rest of the roster every time he competes.

I actually think the fact that they’ve done it so often has added to the mystique of the man. Cole hypes tonight’s six-man match with Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Randy Orton vs. Sheamus, Luke Harper and Bray Wyatt. Rollins won the title by cashing in his Money In The Bank contract, never pinning the champ Brock Lesnar.

Paul Heyman called this match “bigger than WrestleMania“. He doesn’t need a reason.

Paige defeats Naomi with the Scorpion Crosslock aka the PTO.

Another bout might be between Sting and Stephen Amell against Stardust and The Miz. We head to a mid-match break.
