‘ISIS militants’ turned out to be beard club meeting
A GROUP of beard aficionados were caught in the crosshairs of the police when people mistook them for ISIS members and called the cops.

When they arrived, they “had a good laugh” – the group mistaken for Isil was actually a beard club called the Bearded Villians.
On grasping the situation, the two officers “had a good laugh” and got back in their patrol auto “with smiles on their faces”, said Fransson who works in public relations.
Instead, all they saw was “a bunch of happy bearded guys”, Bearded Villains member Andreas Fransson told the Jönköpings-Posten.
Apart from its monochrome color scheme, the Bearded Villains’ flag hardly resembles that of the Islamic State, also known as ISIS.
“They called the cops who came and saw that we weren’t terrorists, just awesome, loving and fantastic bearded brothers!”
This is not the first such incident in Sweden; in February, Swedish police raided an apartment of a couple after mistaking birthday balloons, which said “21”, for ISIS propaganda. “It was a surreal experience”.
Asked if their flag had a few similarities to the Isis flag, Mr Ekeblad agreed – but said it nonetheless felt odd that their besuited group could be confused with terrorists.
“It’s one of the foundations of our brotherhood, that you should not judge others before you know the facts”, Fransson told the paper.
According to the hairy villains, the group was established in 2014 as a “brotherhood of elite bearded men from all over the world”.
