Islamabad finally on board after edging Karachi Kings
Islamabad United recorded a sensational two-run victory over Karachi Kings in a low-scoring thriller here at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday. In the opening match, it was Quetta Gladiators that emerged victorious and in their last encounter Peshawar Zalmi had better of United.

Kings won their first match against Lahore Qalanadars on Friday but lost to Quetta Gladiators in the second yesterday. Ravi Bopara took 2 wickets as Islamabad finished at 132/8 in 20 overs, but even that modest total looked too much for Karachi. Khalid Latif was the top scorer for the Islamabad side as he made 39 runs from 35 balls while Sharjeel Khan contributed 28 runs with the bat. RS Bopara took two wickets while Muhammad Amir, Imad Wasim and Usama Mir grabbed one each.
This meant that Islamabad secured their first points in the Pakistan Super League, after two straight losses.
Karachi needed 46 off 30 balls with only three wickets in hand as their only hope Ravi Bopara lifted them with an unbeaten 32 in 19 balls but failed to help Karachi cross the winning line.
Islamabad United have had horrific outings in the tournament so far, losing both their matches.
With the required run rate climbing, Ajmal delivered the decisive blow on the Islamabad United dismissing Shakib Al Hasan (20) and Saifullah Bangash (0) in the 15th over.
