Israel approves plans for 800 new illegal settlement units in East Jerusalem
A day later, Sarah Tarayra, the 27-year-old relative of Mohammed who was thought to have been pregnant, was shot dead after Israeli police said she draw a knife on an Israeli guard in Hebron.

The plan also called for over 600 new homes in an Arab neighborhood of east Jerusalem.
The decision follows calls among Israelis for a harsh response to a spate of Palestinian attacks in recent days.
Meanwhile, it appeared that the closure Israel imposed on the Hebron area since Friday, when Palestinian attacks killed two Israelis in the area, was not total, and the Israeli army allows Palestinian vehicles to travel around the region after being searched.
Ministers have been urging Netanyahu to ramp up West Bank construction as one of the retaliatory measures to a recent killing which occurred in the Israeli settlement Kiryat Arba in the occupied West Bank, Haaretz reported.
The spokesperson said that more than a hundred Palestinians “were rioting” in Dura when Israeli forces first responded with warning shots and riot dispersal means, including rubber-coated steel bullets.
Israel said it welcomed the Quartet’s recognition of Palestinian incitement and violence but it was not happy with the criticism of settlement building.
“This includes cordoning off the entire Hebron district, revoking work permits from Bani Naim, the village six terrorists have come from; a massive reinforcement of our units, two brigades with emphasis on securing the roads”, Netanyahu said at a weekly meeting of his security cabinet.
Netanyahu has also ordered that Israel counteract money transfers from the Palestinian Authority commonly given to attackers’ families by deducting the amount from Israel’s monthly tax revenue transfers to the PA.
“[Soldiers] have placed a checkpoint at the entrance”.
On Sunday, Tarayrah’s sister had been arrested by the Israel Defense Forces amid reports that she referred to her brother as a martyr.
At least 214 Palestinians, 34 Israelis, two Americans, an Eritrean and a Sudanese have been killed since October. Most of the world considers settlement construction illegal or illegitimate.
Israel says the violence is fuelled by a Palestinian campaign of incitement, and a glorification of attacks by Palestinians on social media.

According to the report, 560 units will be built in the settlement of Maale Adumim in the occupied West Bank near East Jerusalem. The last attempt, led by the USA, collapsed in April 2014.
