The plan also called for over 600 new homes in an Arab neighborhood of east Jerusalem.

Meanwhile, it appeared that the closure Israel imposed on the Hebron area since Friday, when Palestinian attacks killed two Israelis in the area, was not total, and the Israeli army allows Palestinian vehicles to travel around the region after being searched.
Ministers have been urging Netanyahu to ramp up West Bank construction as one of the retaliatory measures to a recent killing which occurred in the Israeli settlement Kiryat Arba in the occupied West Bank, Haaretz reported.
The spokesperson said that more than a hundred Palestinians “were rioting” in Dura when Israeli forces first responded with warning shots and riot dispersal means, including rubber-coated steel bullets.
Israel said it welcomed the Quartet’s recognition of Palestinian incitement and violence but it was not happy with the criticism of settlement building.

On Sunday, Tarayrah’s sister had been arrested by the Israel Defense Forces amid reports that she referred to her brother as a martyr.
At least 214 Palestinians, 34 Israelis, two Americans, an Eritrean and a Sudanese have been killed since October. Most of the world considers settlement construction illegal or illegitimate.
Israel says the violence is fuelled by a Palestinian campaign of incitement, and a glorification of attacks by Palestinians on social media.

According to the report, 560 units will be built in the settlement of Maale Adumim in the occupied West Bank near East Jerusalem. The last attempt, led by the USA, collapsed in April 2014.
