Israel denies Gaza footballers entry to West Bank

Israel said the violence is fuelled by a Palestinian campaign of lies and incitement.

The statement also expressed concern over the demolition of illegally built Palestinian homes in eastern Jerusalem and the West Bank that “reportedly have left dozens of Palestinians homeless, including children”, according to the statement.

Such moves show how the Israeli occupation exerts its power and control over Palestinians in every aspect of their daily lives.

Settlement-building, racial discrimination, confiscation of identity cards, long queues at checkpoints, as well as daily clashes and the desecration of Al-Aqsa mosque, describe Palestinians’ daily suffering.

It is separated from the West Bank by 60 kilometres (36 miles) of Israeli territory, and Gazans are subject to rigorous border restrictions. Palestinians, however, desire East Jerusalem as a capital of its own state.
