Israel indicts Jewish extremists in arson attack that killed Palestinian toddler, parents
In October, Israel began withholding the bodies of suspected attackers as a tactic to crack down on violence. Ali’s Four-year-old brother Ahmad survived.

Referred to in Israel as “price-tag attacks”, such offences have usually been carried out in what the attackers say are reprisals for Palestinian violence against Israelis or government curbs on unauthorised West Bank settlement building.
An unidentified Palestinian security source said clashes erupted between Palestinian youths and the Israeli forces on the major highway between al-Quds and al-Khalil near the Russian center of culture and science.
Other than the 17 bodies received at Hebron’s hospital, one was received in Nablus, two in Silwad and one more in the Palestinian village of Arora, the army spokeswoman added.
Nearly daily Palestinian stabbings, car-rammings and shooting attacks have killed 21 Israelis and a USA citizen, raising fears of a wider escalation a decade after the last Palestinian uprising subsided.
Palestinian leaders say a younger generation sees no hope for the future living under Israeli security restrictions and with a stifled economy.
It said that Israeli police registered the attack against an “unknown” suspect, although surveillance cameras in the area prove that it was carried out by settlers. “It’s clear there was an organization behind this crime, even the media knows that”.
Jewish extremists have for years vandalized or set fire to Palestinian property, as well as mosques, churches, the offices of dovish Israeli groups and even Israeli military bases. Six others were to be handed over in the northern West Bank.
The transfer marked the largest handover yet in three months of Palestinian stabbing, vehicle ramming and shooting attacks against Israelis in which numerous attackers themselves have been killed.

“It is now clear that these acts were perpetrated by a fringe group of anarchists bent on destroying the State of Israel and the freedom and justice that it represents”, it said in a statement.
