Israel Kills 17-Year-Old Palestinian ‘with Bullet to the Heart’

The occupied territories have witnessed a fresh bout of tensions ever since the Israeli forces introduced restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers into the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the Israeli-occupied East Jerusalem al-Quds in August 2015.

One of the groups in the Palestinian city, Qalqilya, was specifically instructed to carry out an attack on the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the Shin Bet discovered in cooperation with the IDF and Israeli police.

The IDF said its troops entered Fawwar to search for suspects and weapons and were attacked by local youths who threw concrete blocks, rocks and home-made explosives at them. Camp lockdowns and other restrictions lead to tensions between Israeli forces and residents.

Israeli forces reportedly entered a clinic run by UNRWA, the United Nations agency for Palestine refugees, and threatened to arrest injured persons being treated there.

Fawwar is near the Jewish settlement of Beit Hagai and a military base, and the Israeli military has built a watchtower at the camp s entrance.

Issa Qaraqe, the committee head, released the figure while speaking with the families of Palestinian child prisoners in the Shu’fat refugee camp on Tuesday.

The soldiers also invaded Sa’ir town, northeast of Hebron, and demolished eight Palestinian homes and a well. Some 32 other Palestinians were also injured, the news agency Maan quoted the Palestinian health minister as saying.

The Shin Bet says that the arrests of these Palestinians prevented them from carrying out attacks against Israelis.

Hamas has already laid the same charges against the PA, claiming that the Fatah party, led by PA president Mahmoud Abbas, routinely arrests top Hamas activists and officials in the West Bank in order to sabotage the elections.
