Israeli forces kill Palestinian who stabbed soldier
Two Palestinians rammed a vehicle into a bus stop used by Israelis in the occupied West Bank on Friday causing injuries before troops killed one of the assailants, the army said.

Israeli police said the man rushed at the officers with a knife in each hand before being shot and killed.
Abbas reportedly told Sanaa, the mother of the two brothers, and their teenage sister Nuran, that he was “making regional and worldwide calls to pressure the Israeli government to release the Balboul brothers”. In a third incident, a Palestinian man was shot and killed by the soldier he had just stabbed, although not critically.
Military sources say the soldier has been taken to hospital for treatment.
He is being held in the intensive care unit at the Wolfson Medical Center in Holon, a city in present-day Israel, where he is “fighting death”, according to Issa Qaraqe, the Palestinian Authority head of prisoner affairs.
Shortly afterward, two Palestinians rammed their auto into a bus stop, wounding three Israeli civilians near the West Bank settlement of Kiryat Arba. “Amro was part of a group of tourists who had entered the Palestinian territories on Thursday to visit Jerusalem”, foreign ministry spokeswoman Sabah Refai said in Amman.
An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’an that the series of attacks were “another example of the danger of Palestinian incitement through social media”, adding that the Israeli army is “conducting intensive intelligence and operational efforts to stop the violence”.
Three Palestinians and one Jordanian man have been shot and killed by Israeli forces in separate areas across the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem in less than 24 hours.
Israeli forces shot and seriously injured a Palestinian man after he allegedly stabbed and moderately wounded an Israeli army officer Sunday morning at a guard post in the illegal Israeli settlement of Efrat southwest of Bethlehem in the southern occupied West Bank.
A year-long spate of violence in Israel and the West Bank has killed at least 230 Palestinians and 34 Israelis. Meanwhile, nearly daily stabbings, shootings and car-ramming attacks by frustrated and unarmed Palestinians have killed 34 Israelis and a USA citizen.
“Despite warnings by the global community and the region, leaders on both sides have failed to take the hard steps needed for peace”, Ban said on Friday.
