The ministry’s plans include moves to retroactively legalize a number of illegal outposts in occupied areas, as well as to create urban continuity between illegal settlements to Jerusalem, the watchdog said. “Human rights organisations fill an essential role in any society which aspires to be democratic, which is why they are constantly targeted as enemies of Israeli sovereignty.”. Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said the stabbing took place near the city’s central bus station.

The incidents are the latest in three months of unrelenting violence.

The attacks have claimed 21 lives on the Israeli side and at least 130 Palestinian lives, 89 of them said by Israel to be attackers. A Palestinian witness reported that Abu Zayed shot at Israeli troops in Kalandiya during an arrest.

Israel’s plans to expand its colonial settlement enterprise and to strangle the Palestinian people and their land bring about the end of the two-state solution; this is further proof that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is more interested in pandering to the racist, extremist and settler Israeli population than working to achieve peace and stability.

Palestinian leaders say a younger generation sees no hope for the future living under Israeli security restrictions and with a stifled economy.

Also Sunday, Israel returned the bodies of seven suspected Palestinian assailants killed in recent weeks to their families, the military said.
