Israeli police: Gunman opens fire in Tel Aviv bar, wounds several people
A gunman opened fire at a popular bar in the central Israeli city of Tel Aviv this afternoon, killing two and wounding at least three others before fleeing, police said. According to the BBC, at least 21 Israelis have been killed, mostly in street attacks by Palestinians, as of December 23.

Nati Shakked, owner of the Simta bar on Dizengoff Street, which was hit by gunfire, said the assailant had waited on a bench outside before taking a machine-gun out of a bag and “shooting in every direction”.
Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said via Twitter Friday the incident was being investigated to determine whether it was criminal or terrorism.
Two witnesses told Israeli news outlets that someone dressed all in black, with a black mask, carried out the attack with what looked like a military-style assault rifle, CNN’s Ian Lee reported.
Security forces and emergency teams rushed to the site, on the corner of Dizengoff and Gordon St.
Eyewitnesses speaking on Israel Radio reported indiscriminate fire from an automatic weapon.

The shooting came as Israel deals with daily stabbing and auto attacks by Palestinians against its civilians and soldiers.
