A Palestinian boy was killed and four others injured by Israeli forces early Tuesday west of Ramallah, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said.

The last deadly violent incident occurred on June 8 when two Palestinian gunmen shot dead four Israelis at a cafe in Tel Aviv. Israel has identified a lot of them as attackers while the rest died in clashes with Israeli troops.

Most of the Palestinians were killed as they carried out knife, gun or car-ramming attacks.

“Unfortunately, there is a long list of Israelis murdered by rocks thrown by Palestinians at roads and every Israeli victim proves the need to take measures against this”, he adds.

Israeli media reports said two of those hurt were foreign tourists. “The IDF is investigating the circumstances”, a spokesman said.

The Palestine Liberation Organization released a statement calling the incident a “brutal attack”. At the moment I am aware of one other attacker that was wounded and treated by medical forces and later evacuated to hospital.

Others were shot dead by Israeli security forces during protests or killed by Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip. IDF officials shot and killed Rafat, whom they believed had perpetrated the attack. Human rights groups say the measure amounts to collective punishment, forcing families to suffer for the acts of others.
