Dozens of Palestinians were reportedly injured by Israeli gunfire, while a number of others suffered temporary asphyxia due excessive teargas inhalation.
The military says it fired toward the riot’s main instigators to try to prevent escalation.
One of the groups in the Palestinian city, Qalqilya, was specifically instructed to carry out an attack on the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the Shin Bet discovered in cooperation with the IDF and Israeli police.
Residents of Fawwar said the stone-throwing continued all day.
Camp resident Amen Al-Bayed says the teen was not participating in the clashes when an Israeli soldier shot him with live fire in the chest.
The soldiers also invaded Sa’ir town, northeast of Hebron, and demolished eight Palestinian homes and a well.
Israel’s Shin Bet security service announced Tuesday it has arrested a network of Palestinians allegedly recruited via Facebook by Lebanon’s militant Hezbollah movement to attack Israelis.
Earlier this month, another video showed Israeli forces seizing and destroying a Palestinian girl’s bicycle.
Palestinians check their belongings after Israeli troops demolished their house in the West Bank village of Saer, near Hebron, on Tuesday.
The violence erupted when a large convoy of Israeli military vehicles entered the camp where about 10,000 Palestinians live, witnesses said.
