NASA published a photo of the global Space Station flying over the face of the full moon on August 2.

It is the largest man-made object in orbit around our planet, yet the worldwide Space Station was dwarfed by the moon as it was captured passing in front of the bright lunar surface. “He will handle the general improvement, integration and operation of this system”, stated William Gerstenmaier, affiliate administrator for NASA’s Human Exploration and Operations Mission Directorate in Washington.
Shireman served as deputy ISS program manager from 2006 to 2013, just prior to stepping into the position of deputy center director. The ISS now has six crew members onboard who are conducting various research experiments on gravitational factors and the ISS revolves around the earth once in every 90 minutes.
