MICROSOFT’S Windows 10 operating system is running on more than 200 million devices, putting the software on course for the fastest growth trajectory of any previous version as the company faces increasing competition with Apple and Google.

Today, I had the honor of joining Samsung President Dr. Won-Pyo Hong during his keynote briefing at CES to celebrate a renewed partnership and a commitment to joint innovation. If it’s only about using Windows 10 on some devices and occasionally integrating them with Cortana, it’s really not much of a partnership. Is this the dirty side of the free Windows 10 upgrade that everyone talks about?
The livestream of the keynote has just finished, but you should be able to watch a recording of it soon on YouTube. Prior to November, there were no Windows 10 phones in the market, nor had Microsoft yet pushed the Xbox One update that brought Windows 10 to that gaming system. In the Lumia support page, it said, “We’re working to make Windows 10 available to eligible Lumia smartphones running Windows Phone 8.1 as an upgrade”.
More than four billion hours spent playing PC games. In fact, Microsoft claimed that 2015 was the best year in Xbox’s history, in terms of engagement and overall sales. By delivering across PC, tablet, smartphone through a single app and single app store, it creates a major opportunity – and the numbers are impressive, with a twofold increase in the number of paid transactions from PC and tablet customers over the holiday season.
The new operating system, Windows 10, has also met with good reception and its user base is consistently expanding.
It is easy to see why the people are so skeptical about the Microsoft Lumia 950.
There has been increasing buzz on the web regarding Microsoft’s privacy policies for Windows 10, particularly those policies that address data collection.
