It’s Christmas: The John Lewis Christmas ad is coming VERY soon
Mistletoe, mulled wine and way too much chocolate are the true staples of Christmas.

The 2015 John Lewis Christmas ad is expected to debut online at 8am on Friday, November 6, according to The Telegraph – so brace yourselves for the grand unveiling.
The John Lewis Christmas advert is now one of the most eagerly awaited TV events, with millions of viewers tuning in to watch the latest festive tear-jerker. In the very same slot one week later, a 10-second spot aired with just the words #OnTheMoon over an image of the celestial body, which many believe to be a teaser for the John Lewis advert.
As for the soundtrack, Oasis’s Half The World Away – as featured on The Royle Family – is a strong favourite, although John Lewis is still remaining tight-lipped about the rumours.
And advert for an advert?
As per usual, details about the upcoming ad have been kept top secret, but it’s no doubt going to include something incredibly cute to get us all into the Christmas spirit.
In recent years we’ve had Ellie Goulding cover Elton John’s “Your Song”, Lily Allen has done her take on Keane’s “Somewhere Only We Know” and Tom Odell did a stripped back John Lewis-ified version of “Real Love” by The Beatles for last year’s Monty the Penguin campaign.
A petition calling for Manic Street Preachers to record the John Lewis advert song this year attracted 158 signatures after the band’s frontman made a joked about it at a festival sponsored by the retailer.

John Lewis marketing director Craig Inglis said at the time: “At John Lewis, this time of year is all about helping our customers create their dream Christmas”.
