One Direction fans thought that the group might be over when one of the most popular members of the band, Zayn Malik, was the first to part ways with his band mates this past spring.

GOOD SIGN: They might have one record left on their contract. Even in cases when the departed member returns – Kevin Richardson of the Backstreet Boys, for example, or Geri Halliwell of the Spice Girls – it’s hard to get back to where you were before the schism. It’s not the strongest off the album, but it opens up the pathway into the most honest album the band has ever released. Four pushed this sound to the forefront of the record, and the trend continues with Made In The A.M. One Direction’s fifth studio album, Made in the AM, goes on sale on 13 November. Not my favorite, but I love the instrumental break that unexpectedly drops in the middle of such a mid-tempo song. I asked myself, “Could this really be One Direction’s new sound?” “/” It’s the type of sing along song that has since created a chant between the band and their fans that will go on for years to come.
“I’ve got a proper relationship with them, not just business”.
The latter two songs hit the sweet spot between party pop music and ballads; they have genuine meanings about moving on and growing up, which are bittersweet as the band temporarilybows out of the music world.
With plans to start a solo career in America, Zayn has been keeping a low profile, especially with One Directions new album, which is released today. “If you’re looking for someone to write your breakup songs about”, he sneers, “Baby, I’m flawless”. “We’d written songs but those songs are nothing at that point they’re not definitely going to make the album there’s no solid ground, those songs could be for anybody like it’s just a writing session”. If anything, they are showing they are getting even better.
One problem that Made in the A.M. might potentially face is it will be competing head-to-head against another album by a musical artist that might rob the top spot on the charts from them, namely, Justin Bieber.
For starters, let’s just say the group has graduated from its “What Makes You Beautiful” pop song days and has moved onto tracks that sound like they had the Beatles and the Bee Gees in mind. In typical form, though, the song might be the album’s most laidback, a rootsy campfire jam with hollered vocals and live-sounding hand claps. It’s sad to see another boy band disintegrate.

Simon Cowell knew about Zayn leaving One Direction, but the rest of the group had no idea that this was coming. The track is a feel good, sunny ode to fab four that came before them.
