It’s going to a warm but wet Thanksgiving in the metro

That front will lay near the Commonwealth on Sunday giving us more clouds and the chance of showers with highs in the lower 50s. High pressure remains on top of the region and so there will be no travel issues(weather wise) wherever you decide to go!

This Thursday night’s forecast low of 51 could threaten the record for warmest low temperature on Thanksgiving.

It’s going to be a warm, dry start of the week in Kansas City, but rain is likely to dampen Thanksgiving travel and festivities. “Rainfall amounts will likely be in the 1 to 3” range with the rain tapering off Friday morning.

The front half of next week also looks like a question mark, the weather service says.

NEXT WEEK: Unsettled weather will be the story with around 50% rain chances highlighting the forecast.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 48. Winds will be calm. Lows won’t be almost as chilly as last night, dipping only to the mid 40s. Light and variable wind.

Overnight, clouds will continue to increase. The high will be near 57 degrees with winds gusting to as high as 20 miles per hour.

Highs will be in the lower to mid 60s, and lows Wednesday night will drop into the mid 40s to lower 50s.

Thanksgiving Day: Patchy fog before 8am. It will be mostly sunny. Low near: 47. High near: 59. Your Black Friday shopping shouldn’t be impacted. It may become mostly cloudy along the coast in the afternoon.
