LONDON (AP) The Duchess of Cambridge’s younger sister Pippa Middleton and hedge fund manager James Matthews announced their engagement Tuesday, setting the stage for a celebrated society wedding in the coming year. She later dated Nico Jackson for three years.

James, the brother of British reality star Spencer Matthews, has been dating Pippa for less than a year, but the couple enjoyed a brief romance back in 2012, according to Britain’s Daily Mail. So, who is the man set to be the Duchess of Cambridge’s new brother-in-law?
Speculation that Middleton’s boyfriend had popped the question ramped up on Tuesday when she was photographed leaving her apartment wearing a large diamond ring.
Middleton turned heads and made headlines as the radiant maid of honor at her sister’s wedding in 2011, thanks to her flattering form-fitting white gown at the ceremony.
Talking about the giant sparkling diamond Janet said: “I think it’s like looking out of some out of the dark ages when a woman leaves her home flaunting a ring like that”. Her sister Kate and Kate’s husband Prince William are said to be thrilled by the news, as are the bride-to-be’s parents Carole and Michael Middleton.
The proposal reportedly took friends and family by surprise, but Pippa’s dad couldn’t be happier. “They are very fond of James and they are sure he and Pippa will be very happy”.

Pippa and James, who briefly dated in 2012, rekindled their romance at the end of past year, and since then their relationship has gone from strength to strength.
