It’s Official! Xiaomi’s Mi 4 Will Be Getting Windows 10
Will you be tempted to test out a Windows 10 ROM if Microsoft turns out to launch one for your current Android smartphone? In short, the 950 and 950 XL aren’t as premium as people thought and hoped they would be. However, the report does not confirm that the upcoming device is indeed the Surface phone.

“With the launch of Windows 10, we have ushered in an era of personal computing which is about interacting easily, naturally and securely in a mobile-first, cloud-first world”.
This Surface Phone will be led by Microsoft engineer Panos Panay and his Surface team. While citing anonymous sources, the website claims that the software developer’s Surface team is consolidating its efforts into creating a new flagship phone.
Tapping the Surface team is something of a Hail Mary play – while Microsoft has had success with tablets and now a laptop, the company’s smartphone marketshare is a piddling 3% globally. Intel is supposedly co-developing a chipset for the Surface Phone that’ll surpass what Qualcomm offers, meaning the device could not only run Windows Store apps but also classic Win32 apps. This would coincide with a yearly device release cycle, if Microsoft is indeed adopting such a rhythm. We clicked some photos with the phone at the launch event (under tricky indoor light) and got mixed results.
The Surface branded Windows 10 based smartphone, is set to be released in the second half of 2016.

Microsoft released the first major Windows 10 update a few weeks ago, but the operating system’s spying capabilities are still intact – though you can disable them from the settings app if you follow the instructions in our earlier post. Details of the alleged device remain scarce but Windows Central has heard that Intel could be involved. Ensuring that users can easily upgrade is vital, especially since the adoption rate of Windows 10 appears to have slowed since its debut on July 29, according to the latest Web traffic stats of Web tracker NetMarketShare. Elop was the chief of Nokia’s phone business and helped guide Microsoft’s acquisition of the business.
