It’s Weird that Hillary Clinton Won’t Do Press Conferences, Right?

Likewise, if Clinton were to hold a press conference this week, she would face tough questions-about whether it was appropriate for the Clinton Foundation to operate as it did during her years at the State Department-and questions that could resolve lingering inconsistencies between her public statements about her email protocols and those of FBI Director James Comey. Having a press conference, in my view, is not the solution to this. You’re just saying they should look in total.

At the time, the press had timely questions to ask about hacked DNC emails and the resignation of party chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

“They were called out by Vox, which is another press organ”, Dean said. “The press has gotten to be where it’s all about the lowest common denominator”. The best – and maybe only – way to do that is via press conferences.

“Well, you know, I’ve got a lot that I have been sharing with the press, talking to the press, as I’m doing with you right now. That is the kind of thing that nobody should have to be subjected to”. About the people who have direct influence over him. “Without getting into that debate, what’s wrong with answering questions”, Jansing asked. “I know the difference between a 3-minute ground-ruled interview and a press conference because I’ve put on a couple of each”, she said.

The Clinton camp has gone from outright denying actual facts (like trustworthiness with voters) to completely ignoring them.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign is hitting back on a report that more than half of the people outside of government she met with as secretary of state were donors to her family’s charitable foundation, accusing the analysis of “cherry-picking” her schedule to create an “outrageous” narrative. “It’s an extraordinary proportion indicating her possible ethics challenges if elected president”. Hillary Clinton doesn’t do speeches, she doesn’t do press conferences.

You can reach that conclusion no matter where you begin along this recursive loop, but the easiest way is to imagine Clinton hosting a press conference now or anytime in the recent past.

“Clinton owes explanations for why she broke ethics agreements regarding foreign donations to her family foundation, gave preferential treatment to foundation donors as secretary of state, and why we should believe that her secret server wasn’t created to cover up the shady pay-to-play politics at her State Department”.
