‘It was never an issue’ – O’Neill signs new Ireland deal

Conor Hourihane has been named in the Republic of Ireland squad for upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Moldova.

In addition, Robbie Keane’s retirement from global football has opened the door for Colorado Rapids frontman Kevin Doyle to return.

Apart from the retired Keane the injured Everton midfielder Darron Gibson, who has a groin injury, and Stephen Elliott, O’Neill had a near full deck to pick from. “We’ll see how he progresses”.
