Italy coach Antonio Conte rejects Chelsea talk as he prepares for friendlies
In his first press conference since last week’s announcement, Conte says “I’m not tempted by anything in England, because I am still national coach”.

Antonio Conte reportedly has his sights set on the transfer of Ivan Perisic if he becomes Chelsea manager.
The trial at which Conte will be questioned over a failure to report match fixing he is alleged to have been aware of when he was coaching Siena starts on April 4 and could last for more than a month.
“In the future, I will consider what is going to happen but my focus right now is completely on Italy”.
I think that today the English and Spanish are very interesting championships from every point a view.
Conte is said to be planning to make Vidal the centerpiece of Chelsea’s new and improved midfield as the Blues’ incumbent midfielders Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic had “declining influence” this season. “It¹s a real shame for me, because I was so excited about coaching a Premier League club”.
Conte defended the decision to confirm his forthcoming departure, although he claimed it was a decision reached with some difficulty.
“It’s been a fantastic, extraordinary experience and I’ve always envied coaches who have taken part at a World Cup or a European Championship”, he added.
“I thought well and pondered the decision and from the moment I was 100 per cent sure of what I felt inside I informed [FIGC president Carlo] Tavecchio – the person who wanted me here and chose me”.
“I feel a great desire to work”.

“It is not taboo to pronounce the name Chelsea, but I could also cite the names of Italian clubs”, the former Juventus manager told journalists.
