Since Thursday’s game was the season’s last for Delta, returning players will sit out next year’s first two games, with returning East Mississippi players out of the season opener.
Law enforcement had to step in to help stop the fight, and the game was ultimately called due to “violent ejections” for both teams. We told our guys how this game would be and how (Delta) would play. “The college is cooperating with the league investigation into the incident”.
“They had to let East Mississippi know before the official announcement so that’s how I found out”.
It appears that the football season of East Mississippi Community College has come to an unexpected and abrupt end.

Bad blood began flowing before the game when two EMCC players and two Delta players engaged in a shoving match at midfield over where each team could warm up. Northwest will be the MACJC North Division’s #1 seed and will host East Central the same day. A two-contest suspension to be served during the next two regularly scheduled or postseason contests.
