Ivanka Trump steals limelight from Donald Trump
CLEVELAND Donald Trump will accuse Democratic rival Hillary Clinton of being corrupt and ineffective and portray himself as a friend of the working class who will restore law and order in a speech on Thursday accepting the Republican presidential nomination.

Donald Trump railed against Ted Cruz at a Friday morning event, telling an audience of supporters that if the Texas senator were to offer him an endorsement, he would reject it.
“I’m with you, I will fight for you, and I will win for you”, Trump will say, according to speech excerpts released by his campaign and a draft text circulating among news organizations.
“Somebody got booed the hell out of a place by thousands and thousands of people”, Trump said.
“One of the ways I judge a person is the quality of their children”, said Mr Dan Perrier, a delegate from Washington state.
In her speech, Ivanka focused on advocating for women’s rights including equal pay and maternity leave, as an attempt to appease the women voter base Trump had previously alienated.
“I am not in the habit of supporting people who attack my wife and attack my father”, Cruz said.
It was the most important speech of his political career and he delivered it nearly exactly as it played across a teleprompter, rarely ad libbing. “I feel so badly”, he continued.
The “crime and violence that today afflicts our nation will soon, and I mean very soon, come to an end”, he said. I don’t want his endorsement. What difference does it make? “As a mother myself, of three young children, I know how hard it is to work while raising a family”, she said to the crowd in Cleveland. “Ted, stay home. Relax”. “I have to put them there to be politically correct”.
Said social-conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly: “I thought it was about the best political speech I’ve ever heard”. Because when you go up to speak, you have to give your speech. “They came to me”.
But many Americans showed their support for Mr Trump on Twitter, using the #MakeAmericaGreatAgain hashtag to congratulate him and praise him on his speech. He congratulates you on a victory.
“Well he got up and the first two sentences…he added a sentence”. Bill Clinton survived a lot of scandals, some of them serious others made up and Republicans never really got a handle on Bill Clinton, how to deal with him and they believed from day one that Clinton took the presidency away that was rightfully theirs. “Because he was implying something, which is wrong”.
Melania Trump’s debut in the political big league Monday was a speech full of earnest warmth, except the words weren’t entirely hers.
Imagine their dismay, then, when in his first public remarks after his convention speech he attacked Ted Cruz again. I have to tell you. “All I did was point out that on the cover of the National Enquirer there is a picture of him and insane Lee Harvey Oswald having breakfast”. It’s dishonorable. Not a nice thing to do.
“I think the Clinton campaign will try to it play very, very safe there is no reason to panic right now she is ahead in the polls at this point and over the last few months and if polling history is any guidance we’ve seen that people form their opinion in the middle of the summer between May and July and she has been consistently in the lead by, you know, sometimes substantial margins”.

“So that takes care of the Heidi thing”. The New York businessman shocked the political world this spring by consistently defeating more established rivals such as former Florida governor Jeb Bush, senators Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, and OH governor John Kasich (pronounced KAY-sick) in primary elections and caucuses.
