Oliseh had already released a 24-man list for both friendly matches recalling the likes of John Mikel Obi, Victor Moses and Odion Ighalo back into the team.
The Nigerian trainer has moved immediately to invite the teenage striker after the world football governing body, FIFA, clarified that he can go ahead and play for the former African champions.
Iwobi, a nephew of the legendary Jay-Jay Okocha and who trained with the Nigeria U23s in early March, is eligible to represent the country of his birth despite featuring for England at youth level.
Iwobi looks set for a bright future in North London and his call-up to Nigeria’s first-team at such a young age demonstrates the enormous talent he presents.
It is also belived that the nation’s football authority stepped up the pressure to get him to play for Nigeria, after another youth global, Jordon Ibe, turned down the opportunity to star for Nigeria, opting for England, instead.
