Back in April, legendary hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest announced they were celebrating the 25th anniversary of People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths Of Rhythm with a reissue album featuring remixes by this generation’s hottest artists. It’s the first release of a planned slew of classic ATCQ albums, according to Rolling Stone magazine. J. People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm 25th Anniversary Edition is out November 13, pre-order your download on iTunes now. Their songs abandoned the genre’s traditional tropes of macho posturing, focussing instead on philosophy and issues such as date rape and black consciousness.
