“Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling said the boy wizard’s story is finally complete.
This comes after nearly twenty years, seven novels, eight feature films and a full-length play (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) that premiered on London’s West End this past Saturday night.
It has been 9 long years since the release of the last Harry Potter book, and now, magic fans can enjoy a brand new installment in the fantasy series which hit store shelves world-wide Saturday night.
The play will show exclusively at London’s Palace Theater but fret not if you can not make the trek across the pond to see the highly-anticipated show. She discussed the play further, saying that the story created by Jack Thorne, John Tiffany and Sonia Freedman “chimed perfectly with the material I had about the next generation and I could see it would work perfectly”. A website named ikindlebooks.com has a free PDF download of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. It follows the characters Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley as they send their own children to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” Parts 1 & 2 went on sale at midnight on Sunday.
The play is already sold out through May 2017.
The Cursed Child isn’t a super fresh story – it returns to familiar moments from the old books, but boasts a lot of creativity when it comes to tackling the big ripple effects through time.
And then there’s the “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” spinoff film, based on a companion book Rowling wrote in 2001.
