J.K. Rowling to release 3 Harry Potter-based short story collections

These short e-books are the newest example of Rowling selecting a nontraditional format for continuing to spin fresh yarns about about Harry the boy wizard and the world he inhabits. Up next: a series of short story collections from J.K. Rowling herself.

“Pottermore Presents is meant to supplement the Harry Potter book series with short-form content that is entertaining and thematically curated by the Pottermore editorial team”, said Rowling’s press release.

Harry Potter fans rejoice – J.K. Rowling has just revealed that she’s set to release not one, not two but three eBooks with new stories about some of her Hogwarts characters.

The second collection, Short Stories from Hogwarts of Heroism Hardship and Dangerous Hobbies will focus on Remus Lupin and Minerva McGonagall while Hogwarts: An Incomplete and Unreliable Guide will explore the secrets behind the school of magic.

For Harry Potter fans, 2016 has been like being set loose in Honeydukes candies shop.

The books will each delve deeper into the Harry Potter stories and offer more insight into the settings and beloved magical and Muggle characters.

J.K. Rowling has claimed in recent interviews that she is done with the “Harry Potter” story – but it looks as if the bestselling author has found a loophole. The series includes short stories and Rowling’s reflections on the world she created.

The books will be available to buy on Pottermore, Amazon, Kobo and iBooks, so it really is time to get excited.

Hitting virtual shelves on the 6th September, the eBooks will be available to download from the Pottermore site and other digital publishers.
