Jabari Parker’s return, Bucks host Sixers

Jabari Parker’s return did little to affect the scoreline, but the Bucks were still able to pull out a 91-87 victory against the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Bucks were down by three with just under three minutes left, when Greg Monroe and Khris Middleton scored Milwaukee’s final eleven points.

Michael Carter-Williams will miss tonight’s game due to a left ankle strain.

“I just stick with the plan”, Parker said.

Monroe chipped in on the defensive end, too, swiping the ball from shooting guard Nik Stauskas and on the ensuing possession, Middleton hit from 27 feet, giving Milwaukee a four-point lead with 48 seconds to play.

Another bright spot for Milwaukee was the “Greek Freak” Giannis Antetokounmpo who listed 17 points, five rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block.

Okafor, the third overall pick in the 2015 draft, led the 76ers (0-4) with 21 points, and Nerlens Noel had 17 points and a game-high 12 rebounds. The Sixers added him as a 16th man after being granted hardship relief because of several injuries on their roster.

Middleton led the Bucks (2-3) with 21 points, and Monroe added 18 points and eight rebounds. Jabari Parker returns to action Wednesday night for the first time since suffering a knee injury previous year.

Parker exchanged the thick haircut he sported during training camp for a closely cropped look in his first game back.

“Had a few jitters, but most importantly I was more engulfed in the game every chance that I got”, Parker said. It will be the second time these two teams face off against each other, as they played on opening night. “It was definitely heartbreaking to see him go down last year, but I think he’s going to come back even better this year”. Parker averaged 14.3 points in those games, while Okafor averaged 12.5 points in the last four games they squared off. Those in attendance during the three-year span included mayor Rahm Emmanuel, collegiate head coaches Tom Izzo and Mike Krzyzewski, and Simeon alum Derrick Rose.
