Jack Nicklaus says Tiger Woods ‘looked very healthy’ during recent meeting
I saw him in the Bahamas at the Hero World Challenge and he was in rough shape, and he said that.

“I said, ‘Can you tell me who won and lost the matches in the last Ryder Cup?’ Not at all”.
Jack Nicklaus says Tiger Woods seemed “very healthy” when he attended a dinner party at his home on Thursday. “No, he looked great and he was in great spirits”, Nicklaus said. He looked very healthy and he really misses playing, ” Nicklaus told reporters Sunday. “In this game we talk about process a lot but we need results to back us up and tell us we are on the right path”.
It started with Jack Nicklaus hosting almost two dozen potential Ryder Cup players for dinner, a treat for anyone among the top 40 in the USA standings. He doesn’t have a timetable for returning or anything. He’s pretty private about what his situation is and I don’t blame him, because every time he opens his mouth there’s nothing but articles written about speculation about Tiger.
“We have a great feeling toward what Honda has done and what’s happened, and so we’re not only grateful for that, but I hope a lot of kids are going to benefit from what’s happened”.
“Tiger Woods is still perhaps the biggest story in golf”, Feherty said recently.
Asked if the ever-expanding entertainment venues around the course might at some point become a distraction to the players, Nicklaus asked, “Have guys been hitting balls over there to have a sandwich, or what?”
Reminded that Spieth has yet to play Honda, Nicklaus was asked if he might encourage him to do so, just as Arnold Palmer successfully lobbied Rory McIlroy to play Bay Hill for the first time a year ago. And then imagine how long before the fans realize he is a 40-year-old with four surgeries on his knee and three surgeries on his back. “It’s remarkable how relevant he is given how poorly he’s played over the last two or three years, but he still moves the needle … I don’t think there’s any question about that”.
Following an injury plagued 2015, Woods has not played since August and the continued silence from the former number one’s camp has lead many to believe his glittering career may be over.

Nicklaus added that conversation inevitably turned to his record of 18 major championships, a record which he hope Woods – who has been sitting on 14 since 2008 – can break.
