Jack White Shares New Version of the Raconteurs’ “Carolina Drama”
The second is an actual recording from the acoustic release, as White has shared a version of “Carolina Drama” by The Raconteurs featuring acoustic instrumentation. A week ahead of the official launch of his Jack White Acoustic Recordings 1998-2016, the prolific music maker has revealed an old mix of his Raconteurs’ “Carolina Drama”.

The new version, which strips down the instrumentation but leaves the form and feel nearly entirely intact, comes after White shared another song from the collection, a previously unreleased White Stripes recording, “City Lights”.
The new record is due to be released on Friday September 9, coinciding with White’s appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to his first-ever solo acoustic performance on television. Comprised of 26 tracks, it includes “album tracks, B-sides, remixes, alternate versions, and previously unreleased tracks”, according to press release.
