Reality television personality Vincent “Don Vito” Margera died Sunday at the age of 59.
Margera had been battling liver and kidney failure the past few years. He fell into a coma last month and was in bad shape ever since.
Margera was forced to retire the character of “Don Vito” after he was convicted of sexual assault in 2007 for groping two underage girls at an autograph signing.
He awoke several days later and felt well enough to speak on the phone, but remained in critical condition as his organs continued to fail, according to TMZ.
The loss of Margera comes after the death of Jackass co-star Ryan Dunn, who died in a vehicle crash in 2011. He made numerous appearances within the show alongside his nephew & went on to seem in Bam’s spin off show, Viva La Bam. As part of his punishment, he was unable to portray the “Don Vito” alter ego in any capacity.
