The Smith siblings believe adults don’t understand how millennials think because older generations never grew up with the Internet.
Pharrell addressed how social media plays a major role in the lives of youngsters and how some choose to abuse it.

Jaden commented on how some use social media to over-share their happiness and lavish lifestyles, but expressed that true happiness doesn’t come from flaunting it. “And I feel like that’s why it’s very important to educate people on different things while you are actually on social media”. “The only thing that really matters is spreading love and light and acceptance and unity through the entire world in any way that you possibly can”, she said. “It’s wonderful to be able to work with iconic people and to have my name on something that’s so lovely, but at the same time, the only reason why I do it is so that I can have more of a reach to different kinds of people and spread my message”, said Willow. And some people don’t feel like they need to give anything back because it’s like, ‘Oh, if you’re famous, you can just keep giving, and it doesn’t matter.’ It’s not just about money. “You look insane. Meanwhile Jaden, who has sparked controversy in the past for wearing dresses during photo shoots, said he couldn’t understand why older people are “mad” about things that have “happened in the past”.
According to Willow, who was recently named an ambassador for Chanel, their mom Jada Pinkett Smith supported their experimentation with personal style from an early age.

Jaden and Willow also discuss the genesis of their unique fashion senses. “What my parents have given to me is not anything that has to do with money or success or anything that society says people should be focusing on-it’s something spiritual that only certain people can grasp and accept”, Willow said.
