A Denver Broncos loss is a Pittsburgh Steelers gain.

Harris’ signing likely signals the end of Kelvin Beachum’s time with the Steelers.

According to a person familiar with the negotiations, the Jaguars agreed to terms with former Pittsburgh Steelers left tackle Kelvin Beachum on a two-year contract Tuesday. They are still negotiating a pay cut for offensive tackle Ryan Clady, but it appears as though the Broncos’ approach has been to stage a quasi-rebuild. Joeckel is guaranteed $3.3 million next season.

“While I turn the page in my career, I am grateful to always be a Super Bowl champion with the Denver Broncos”, Harris said.

Beachum’s signing may impact the team’s starting lineup this season.

Beachum inked his free-agent deal Wednesday, giving the Jaguars a viable starting option to challenge left tackle Luke Joeckel.

On the other side of the ball the Steelers have lost nose tackle Steve McLendon now that he’s signed with the New York Jets. Whichever player doesn’t become the starter can instantly become the swing tackle and provide the line with much needed depth. Beachum visited Jacksonville, but left without signing a contract with the Jaguars. Both were Steelers projects that paid off. Beachum was a seventh-round pick in 2012 and has discussed being especially close with head coach Mike Tomlin.
