Jaguars at Titans: Full highlights and final score

The Titans (3-9) had not won on their own field since October 12, 2014, when they needed a blocked field goal to beat these very same Jaguars 16-14. With four more games to go, it’s conceivable that Bortles could also be the first quarterback in Jaguars history to throw for 30 or more touchdowns.

Tennessee took a 7-0 lead when Mariota rolled right and found tight end Craig Stevens in the front of the end zone for a 10-yard touchdown pass with 4:15 left in the first quarter. Combine the running numbers with his passing numbers – 20-for-29 passing for 257 yards and three touchdowns – and he had a fantastic afternoon. Antonio Andrews led in rushing with 32 yards in 11 carries. They’ve played well at home this season and should play well enough today for the Titans to earn a victory. Jason Myers’ fifth missed extra point of the season allowed the Titans to maintain a 7-6 lead with 14:56 remaining in the second quarter. But the Jaguars cut the lead to 28-25 on another Bortles touchdown pass to Robinson less than three minutes later. Mariota hit Dorial Green-Beckham across the middle with Davon House trailing for a 47-yard TD.

Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota (8) gets past… The second-year veteran not only went over 1,000 yards receiving Sunday, his three touchdowns kept the Jaguars in the game in the second half.

This coming on the heels of a sack and fumble that turned into a Jacksonville touchdown.

If you are a Tennessee Titans fan, you have to be even happier after the home team extricated the monkeys from their backs thatI wrote about in the Gameday post. Mariota’s run was the third longest by a quarterback since 1960. The Titans face the Jets next Sunday.
