Jaguars beat Dolphins 23-20 with penalty, short field goal
“You have to have enough humility to identify your weaknesses and grow from it and let’s move on, so that’s the challenge for us all”, Bradley said Monday. In Week 2, the offense improved immensely, going down the field to score on five separate occasions. The Jaguars will be in a sizable early-season hole (again) with a loss. The Jaguars are still figuring out what they want to consistently do, but it seems they are closer than ever.

Stoneburner’s first ever National Football League catch was a touchdown, helping Miami level their in-state rival Jacksonville Jaguars. He finished the day with 25 carries and ran for 70 yards with 3 catches that totaled 13 yards.
Robinson left Sunday’s game early in the first half and got checked out on the sideline before being taken back to the locker room.
Should the improvement in Week 2 be the norm rather than an outlier, the Jaguars are in good shape.
It’s tough to see the Patriots losing this one.
Robinson caught six passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns against the Dolphins.
“Sure, we missed a couple of things, but to me this was the type of team victory I had talked about all week – every component of the team stepping up and doing what they needed to do”. I haven’t. For the second consecutive week, this Dolphins defense-which was regarded as one of the top units in the NFL-has given up over 100 yards on the ground and has applied zero pressure on opposing quarterbacks.
Also of note this week, we found out that Nate Stupar does Q & A’s for our Falcons blog, The Falcoholic.
The Patriots enter after dispatching the Buffalo Bills 40-32 on Sunday. Both have put up some lofty numbers against the Jaguars over the years.
To complete the Nittany Lion domination, they named Allen Robinson their offensive player of the game.
Despite the Dolphins moving the ball effectively for most of the game, they were still held to just 20 points. Stop by next week to find out who won our Weekly Superlatives in the Jaguars’ Week 3 matchup against the undefeated New England Patriots. They’ll be going against a solid defensive front, but it is nowhere near the strength of Miami’s. Blake Bortles is completing 54.8 percent of his passes for 456 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. Granted they gave up a lot of yards through the air to Tannehill (345 in all) but all those yards resulted in just two passing touchdowns. His ability to read and react to run plays has been a pleasant surprise.
Handing out awards to the Jacksonville Jaguars that get it done, this is a new weekly post that we will be writing here on Black & Teal. Shootouts are unfamiliar territory for the Jaguars, but offensive success is a real possibility on Sunday. Defensively, Jacksonville is allowing 20 points and 324.5 yards per game. The defending Super Bowl champs will be one of the toughest, if not the toughest, game on the schedule, but the Jaguars’ offense is ready to compete.
